We are a small Santa Cruz wood flooring business established in 1980. Chris Haltom, the owner was asked this question often:
“Why Wood, Why Floors ?”
Chris says, “My dad was a woodworker for 40 years. Where I grew up, there was always a wood shop, saws and tools turning raw wood into finished products. My dad started taking me out on jobs when I was 10 years old.”
Realizing he had a knack for detailing floors and stairs, Chris gravitated towards fine finish. “Most floors are simple, straightforward, serviceable parts of the home, but you can customize a floor and make it into a work of art. That’s my favorite thing to do.
Everyone who works for me, both my crew and my estimators, have a great deal of confidence because of their experience, and because they really know our products.
All our estimators have previously been installers and they know how the machines work.
