Yetsterday’s meeting at ‘Greenspace’ - thank you Lydia! – was not attended well. Only eight people showed up. But all of us were glad that we did. Joe Fullerton, the City of Santa Cruz Green Building specialist, gave a great presentation. The City wants to work with builders to make the Green Points checklist easy to use and to implement. There is even a section at the end of the checklist – Section P – for ‘Innovation Points’. We all walked away having learned some valuable information and actually feeling good about the Building Department’s efforts in this area. Business cards were exchanged and some possible new work opportunities were explored. It was a good meeting.

Wanted to attend, but work precluded that particular day and time. A little later in the day, like early evening may be more suitable for those of us in the field. Keep up the good work. It sounds like the benefits were there though attendance was light.
