Rayne of Santa Cruz Inc. is a local family owned business started in Santa Cruz in 1963. Whether you live in Santa Cruz, Aptos, Soquel, Capitola, Watsonville, or Boulder Creek, we’re right around the corner and waiting to bring you the best in drinking water systems.
We specialize in…
Hard water is common in the Santa Cruz region and we can clearly see the impact on our plumbing, clothing, and skin. Hard water stains glassware, leaves residue on dishes, requires more detergents and soaps, causes irreversible corrosion when left untreated, and can reduce the life of your appliances due to clogs and buildup in pipes.
While hard water doesn’t pose health risks, it does require more energy and effort to utilize, costing you more money in the long run. In fact, a quality water softener can save an average family of four between $1,400 to $1,700 per year.
The long-term impact that Santa Cruz hard water can have on household plumbing and appliances can be extremely costly if not treated with a water softener. When hard water is left untreated, the deposits can calcify causing scale, expensive repairs or pricey product replacements on appliances like water heaters, washing machines and dishwashers.
Drinking Water Systems
Drinking water quality is a growing concern both in Santa Cruz area and beyond. The presence of chlorine, dissolved solids and various “off” tastes and odors is all too common, but can be avoided with a RO system.
With a reverse osmosis system from Rayne Water, filtration turns your tap water into the sparkling clean drinking water your body needs to stay healthy and be productive.
Well Water Systems
Well owners must take extra precautions to ensure the protection and maintenance of their drinking water and make up for the lack of routine testing and expertise that public drinking water supplies have.
What should well water be tested for? Metals (including iron and manganese) nitrates and coliform bacteria are all serious contaminants that should be monitored on a regular basis.
Not all of the water in the Santa Cruz region is poor – our municipal water suppliers actually do a great job, but there are certainly concerns that most well owners face. It is crucial that you have the tools and knowledge to control the smell, taste, and safety of your well water and to be able to recognize the signs and symptoms of drinking water problems.
