SCCG member Lydia Corser has lots of things going on this month at Greenspace. Here is a selection:
BIG NEWS! I’m delighted to announce some restructuring at greenspace. I have kept my interior design business, Eco Interiors, on the back burner for the past few years to devote myself to greenspace. I’m proud to say that greenspace now has the solid infrastructure, along with the ever-wonderful staff to function more independently. I miss design work, so the two coincide beautifully. I’ll still be in the store on a daily basis, but not ringing people up as much (I often mess it up anyway). My best self comes out when a homeowner, designer, architect or contractor (or better, the entire team!) come in and I can help with the project. Now, I’ll have the best of both worlds. Just to be clear, I’m not interested in competing with other designers. When you come to the store with your clients, I’m here to serve you as a green materials knowledgeable, price-competitive store owner.
I have always offered color consultations outside the the store, and I will now be able to take on more of those clients, in addition to larger projects. I bet many of you don’t know that I’m a certified kitchen designer! In fact, the mainstay of my design business prior to greenspace was kitchen and bath design. Many clients come to me because I have focused on green interiors for my entire career, now 16 years. I’ve also started working on more commercial projects, including recently acting as Ecology Action’s interior designer at the Sentinel Building.
I also love small consultations, either on-site at greenspace or at yours. Customers who want to take advantage of color consultations in the store will enjoy a discounted design fee, available in as little as 15 minute increments of my undivided attention. They can be spur of the moment, if I’m already here and able to carve out the time. We all love immediate gratification!
