“I love Santa Cruz merchants! I recently needed some scrap would that could be used to make transfer boards for individuals who use wheelchairs or scooters to transfer to another chair or car seat. I pass the “free” bin at Chris Halton Hardwood Floors on Benito Avenue daily and stopped to check it, with no luck. I went inside and asked about wood samples for this use and Doris Haltom took my phone number and called me a few weeks later with a stack of beautiful wood flooring samples that she had pulled from the free box herself for me. She helped me load them in my car on a hot afternoon and I just want to say, thank you Doris and Chris Halton Floors. Yours is the kind of local business that Santa Cruz thrives on!”
